Portia is a one of kind speaker and teacher. I only hope that I can lift her up with this review enough to encourage you to bring her into your org. First – Portia's content was extremely educational and useful. So if you want to demonstrate a commitment to your employees development, go with Portia. Second – Portia was able to structure her program to our needs. It was anything but cookie cutter and she's a reliable partner, diligent, and inventive. We knew ahead of her presentation exactly what we were getting based on her reliable communication and her partnership to ideate together. Therefore, go with Portia! Third – She really is the Rihanna of LinkedIn. With skills also comes humor, kindness, knowledge, and the right touch of diva (by this I mean her impressive command of shinning on the stage). You are left feeling like Cupid shot you with the 'Portia-arrow' wanting to learn more, to be her friend, and needing her autograph. Remember there is no point in having brilliant speakers if their content doesn't resonate with the audience which she achieves effortlessly. Ergo, GO WITH PORTIA!

Seeing a young, down-to-earth Black professional inspired me to do more in my field and I appreciate her teaching at my university.

I have attended many LinkedIn workshops, but never one facilitated by an African American individual. There is a major difference! Not only did she use current colloquialisms, but also included Gifs, memes and images of Black athletes/artists/celebrities. This allowed me to connect with her on a deeper level and understand exactly why having an up-to-date LinkedIn profile is important. Since attending her workshop, I have seen my LinkedIn connections improve dramatically. Before attending her workshop I had 45 connections and now have over 130! Beyond enjoying her energy and facilitation techniques, her workshop reminded me of the importance of representation in ALL areas. Seeing a young, down-to-earth Black professional inspired me to do more in my field and I appreciate her teaching at my university.

I attended Portia’s workshop “The Glow Up" where she taught about current, best practices for actively building a LinkedIn presence that showcases your talents and strengths. Portia had great, accessible tips on how a candidate can navigate the steps to land a job. Portia’s energy was so inspiring and bright — it uplifted everyone in the workshop! Job search fills many people with dread, anxiety, and imposter syndrome. Portia emphasized and embodied the importance of building mutual support, self-confidence, and joy. I look forward to having Portia speak to my students at Pratt Institute and at Parsons School of Design in NYC. Her presentations bring great value to job seekers in any field.
